Fire House Gastro Park | Grand Prairie, Texas
This multi-phased concept will bring together the municipal buildings at the existing Civic Center and create a truly connective campus in addition to activating public spaces. Envisioned as a lantern to draw visitors into the site, the 30,500 square foot new 2 story building will be the cornerstone of the design to physically connect the existing City Hall Building and the Development Services Building. A new centralized front door and main entry drive will enhance way-finding and place-making. A rain garden will act as reinforcement of axis and connection to Main Street, while serving as storm water collection. In addition, to consolidating vehicular and pedestrian traffic the overall layout will also serve as the backdrop and space for the annual Main Street Fest.
